Oasis

Astoria is a member of OASIS (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards), a not-for-profit, international consortium that drives the development, convergence, and adoption of e-business standards. The consortium produces more Web services standards than any other organization along with standards for security, e-business, and standardization efforts in the public sector and for application-specific markets. Astoria is active as an OASIS member, and sits on the OASIS XML technical committee, the OASIS DITA Technical Committee (Darwin Information Typing Architecture. OASIS has more than 5,000 participants representing over 600 organizations and individual members in 100 countries.

Dita XML

Astoria Software is a lead sponsor of DITA.XML.org, the official community gathering place and information resource for the DITA OASIS Standard as defined by the OASIS DITA Technical Committee. Astoria actively works with the Committee to further its DITA standard development, and was instrumental in founding the newly formed sub-committee, the DITA specialization group for the medical manufacturing industry. CM Pros- Content Management Professionals

Founded in 2004, CM Pros -- which has grown from a founding group of 30 content management experts to more than 600 members -- provides information, expertise and support to content management professionals and the organizations they serve. Astoria staff benefit from CMPro membership with peer-to-peer interchange, collaborative development of best practices, a series of educational events and definitive knowledge resources such as a content management glossary and resource library. The Center for Information Development Management

The Center for Information-Development Management (CIDM) is an organization of information-development, training, and customer support managers across the United States and internationally. The CIDM is directed by Dr. JoAnn Hackos, international leader in management of the design, development, and dissemination of information to customers and employees. The mission of CIDM is to bring together information development, training, and support managers worldwide to exchange ideas and best practices, and to build a networking community.
